At ITSS Engineering we put a lot of focus on developing our staff and giving them opportunities to grow. That is why we are pleased to see the first CNC specific micro-credential in New Zealand become a reality. The idea was raised at the Industry Roundtable, and MTO New Zealand and ATNZ have put in the work to turn it into a programme that supports the future of CNC machining. The micro-credential creates a clear training path for apprentices, for people qualified in other areas who want to shift into CNC work, and for semi-skilled workers who want recognised CNC training. It fills a gap that has existed for a long time and will help lift capability across the industry. We are proud that our apprentice, Jonathan Gregson, has been selected for a sponsored place in the first intake. ATNZ has shown real support for this initiative, and we appreciate the commitment. Nick from ATNZ visited our site to confirm Jonathan’s place and talk through what the training involves. There may still be sponsorship places available. Anyone interested in moving into CNC work can contact ATNZ for more details.Course link: atnz.org.nz/apprentice/cnc-training/ ... See MoreSee Less
